There was disappointment for Alex Lloyd as he was unable to participate in the race at the Nashville Superspeedway, Tennessee, in the Indy Pro Series over the weekend.
Alex managed only to do the practice session on the Friday morning when he found he had to check himself into the medical centre after suffering from dizzy spells and nausea.
He’s been suffering from the unknown illness on and off for a month.
After tests, doctors booked him in for an MRI scan and, with doctors not sure exactly what was causing the problem, he was told he was unable to race.
Alex is due in Indianapolis next week to enable the IRL doctors to carry out further tests and determine what the illness is and how it can be treated.
