by isleofman.com 19th July 2006
Great Britain Junior rider Christopher Worrell is 57th overall in the Tour of Achterveld, Holland after the opening three stages.

He finished 33rd in the Road Race and an encouraging 13th in the Time Trial, just five seconds slower than the winner Barry Markus.

The event finishes on Saturday.

Meanwhile, over at the Olympic Velodrome in Athens, the European Track Championships start today (Wednesday).

Riding for Great Britain's Junior Team Pursuit team later will be Manx pair Jonny Bellis and Peter Kennaugh - yes, half the team originating from the Island.

The Manx 10k Time Trial League has it's latest round this evening. The venue is Killane with the action underway at 7pm.
