Record temperatures

by isleofman.com 19th July 2006
Whilst the Isle of Man fortunately hasn't reached the blistering temperatures being recorded in the south east of England during the current heatwave, it did top the tables in another category yesterday (Tues).

The Island shared the title of sunniest place in Britain with Falmouth in Cornwall recording 15.6 hours sunshine.

Today looks set to be a similar day and very warm, with a possibility of setting a new record for the highest temperature ever recorded at Ronaldsway, which currently stands at 28.9 celsius - over 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
