Breakwater access

by isleofman.com 20th July 2006
The public is being reminded that access to Castletown breakwater will be restricted from next Monday (July 24).

The second phase of refurbishment of its seaward face is due to begin, aimed at strengthing and extending the life of the breakwater.

It will take around six weeks to complete.

Captain Chris Burton, of the Department of Transport, says due to the nature of the works, access to the breakwater will be restricted at certain times.

Inquiries can be made through Douglas Harbour Control on 686628.
