Piglets stolen

by isleofman.com 20th July 2006
Police are appealing for information after three week-old piglets were stolen from a farm in Bride.

The animals went missing overnight between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning from two separate enclosed pens on land at Ballaghennie near the Ayre visitors centre.

Manx Radio’s farming correspondent John Kennaugh says theft of livestock in the Island is a very rare crime.

But he says young animals taken away from their parents could face severe health difficulties.

Any information on the theft, please contact police on 631212.
