Sonic booms

by isleofman.com 21st July 2006
The Euro fighter, now in its trials, was responsible for a series of sonic booms over the Island earlier this week.

In a twenty minute period, just before and just after two on Tuesday afternoon, it made three runs over the isle of Man producing three " booms"

Meanwhile loud explosions today, reported by a number of sources particularly round the Maughold area, were produced by military firing on the Eskmeals site in Cumbria.

After the reports were made to the Ministry of Defence, the firing was stopped.
