Lollipop row takes new twist

The row over the suspension of a lollipop man at an Isle of Man school has taken a new turn.

Michael Hunt was taken to task by the authorities for helping children cross the road near Marown school - away from his designated crossing point on the A1 Peel Road.

Mr Hunt argued the greater need for a lollipop man was around the corner in Glen Darragh Road.

Now he's surprised that work has begun to construct a pedestrian crossing at that very spot.

His case is due to be reviewed by the full Whitley Council next week and he thinks the department may be acting belatedly (audio file attached):
