Police and FSC warn of conmen

by isleofman.com 24th July 2006
Police are warning anybody who has had dealings with Global Trust Asset Management or the Vaulting Company to get in touch with the Constabulary's Fraud Unit because they are a front for conmen.

The Financial Supervision Commission says emails sent by the company have claimed to come from West View in Peel.

But there’s no such address, and the postcode supplied is 1MB IBM, which obviously isn't Manx.

Telephone and fax numbers quoted within the email don’t relate to the Isle of Man, and the company is not incorporated, licensed or registered here.

The FSC says anybody who is already involved with the firm should contact the Enforcement Division on 689313.
