Seacat out of service

by isleofman.com 24th July 2006
Bad news for locals and visitors booked on the Supersea Cat Two.

The fast craft will be out of action tomorrow and Wednesday due to a gearbox breakdown.

One of the Cat's four main gearboxes needs urgent repair.

Tomorrow's sailing from Liverpool at 6.30 pm and the evening sailing to Belfast are both cancelled.

Wednesday's morning services from Belfast to the Island, and from here to Liverpool are also cancelled.

The Steam Packet says Liverpool passengers will be transferred to the Ben my Chree sailing to Heysham while Belfast passengers will be put on the scheduled sailing to Dublin on Wednesday.
