Director of Public Health steps down.

by isleofman.com 26th July 2006
The Director of Public Health, Dr Ian McClean, is retiring.

Dr McLean (pictured) was appointed in 1998, coming to the Island from Dumfries and Galloway Health Board.

He was particularly vociferous in his support for tobacco legislation.

Dr McClean has been away from the post for some months due to illness.

Dr Paramishwaran Kishore has been acting director during that time.
