Campaign to celebrate 130th anniversary of St Paul's Church

by isleofman.com 26th July 2006
Parishioners in Foxdale are embarking on a major fund raising effort, to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the village's St. Paul's Church.

They hope to raise ?25,000 to carry out maintenance work, create access for the disabled and construct a toilet.

As part of the fund raising effort, member of the congregation and project co-ordinator Geoffrey Gelling (pictured), is trying to trace a couple of interesting items of memorabilia (audio file attached):

Anybody who can help with the restoration work, or who knows the whereabouts of the inscribed trowel and mallet, is asked to ring the Reverend Michael Breffitt, on 842637.
