Minister delighted with Stormbreaker response

Stormbreaker looks set to have the Department of Trade and Industry smiling all the way to the bank.

In its first weekend, the first Alex Ryder movie took just over ?2.3 million pounds – putting it on a par with blockbusters such as Superman Returns.

But the best may be yet to come, as the DTI will also get a share of any Stormbreaker merchandise such as computer games and rother products.

Trade and Industry Minister Alex Downie says he read the reviews and is very pleased with the way the film’s been received (audio file attached):
