New therapy for MS sufferers

Multiple Sclerosis sufferers in the Isle of Man could benefit from a new form of drug therapy - which appears so far to have excellent results.

The treatment involving a combination of drugs is being developed at Walton Neurological Centre (pictured) in Liverpool. And the team there now wants to enrol suitable patients for a proper trial.

Jayne Clarke who lives in the Island found normal life severely curtailed after she was diagnosed with MS - and opted for the treatment two years ago, when it was still seen as radical.
