by isleofman.com 27th July 2006
An investigation’s continuing after a fire at a Douglas guest house in the early hours of last Friday morning.

A total of 31 guests and staff were evacuated from the Adelphi in Stanley View, and neighbouring flats, when the blaze took hold in a rear outlet laundry room.

Flames reached 10 metres high when the fire was at its peak.

A joint investigation between scene of crime officers, the CID and the fire investigation team is continuing to establish the cause.
