Floral displays vandalised

Vandals have attacked some of Douglas' floral displays, just three days before the Britain in Bloom judges arrive.

Council Leader David Christian says he was disappointed to be told about the damage early this morning.

He says it's the kind of thing that happens on a daily basis, but workers will now have to rush to replace the plants before Wednesday.

Mr Christian says these people need to be caught and punished:
