The Manx "Down The Line" Championship competed at the Meary Veg Range of the IOM Clay Pigeon Shooting Club on Sunday morning produced some superb shooting.
Five squads of shooters were involved in some very good and competitive rounds over 100 targets with no less than thirteen individual scores of 25/25 and many others regularly scoring 23’s or 24’s as well.
With trap specialists like Dave Walton, Kevin Oates, Peter Kelly, Phil Ward, Neil Parsons and Jake Keeling all keen to win the Championship trophy, competition was always going to be tough.
Both Parsons and Keeling managed to score maximum results of 100/100 targets hit, but it was Parsons who really excelled with a final points score of 297/300 to take the trophy.
