TT2007 accommodation challenges

Don’t tell people there’s no room at the inn – send them to the Department of Tourism and Leisure.

That’s the message from Tourism Minister David Cretney in the face of overwhelming bookings for the Centenary TT next year.

He says much of the Island’s accommodation is already booked up for the festival, but the DTL will try to find everybody somewhere to stay.

Speaking on Manx Radio’s Agenda programme, he said hoteliers should refer people to his department rather than simply say ‘no vacancies’.

Mr Cretney explained what to do if you’re fully-booked and dealing with a potential visitor:
