An 18 year old who tried to escape from police in a ?60 'banger' has been jailed.
Christopher Clague from Keppel Road in Willaston was arrested for a series of motoring offences.
He was sent to prison for three months and has a two year driving ban.
The 'banger' in question had just been bought and he had "decided to take it for a spin" when he was stopped.
