Divers need to take more care

Diving is one of the fastest growing sports activities, but amateur divers are increasingly getting into trouble in Manx waters and should take extra care, according to one of the few people best equipped to help them.

It's not just a case of surfacing too fast either, and suffering from 'the bends'.

In charge of the Hyperbaric Chamber in Douglas by the fire station is David Downie, who says it's easy to overdo things:
