Homestay boost

Householders can now earn more from the TT Homestay Scheme.

Treasury has announced the tax-free income limit has been doubled, rising to fifteen hundred pounds.

It follows consultation with the Department of Tourism and Leisure and it's hoped it will encourage more people to sign up to the scheme.

Tens of thousands of visitors are expected in the Isle of Man to celebrate the TT centenary celebrations next year.

Tourism Minister David Cretney (pictured) says it's good way for people to earn some extra money:
