ANOTHER CYCLING WORLD CHAMPION

by isleofman.com 6th August 2006
The Isle of Man has a new cycling World Champion, after Peter Kennaugh won a gold medal at the Junior World Championships.

The 17 year old riding for Great Britain stormed the Scratch race.

Meanwhile, Jonny Bellis put in a brilliant ride to claim a silver medal in the Points race.

The pair were also part of the Team Pursuit, which struck gold at the European Junior Track Championships last week.

Dot Tilbury is currently with Team Scottish Provident at the Youth Tour of Kerry.

She can't praise them enough:

In addition, Mark Christian was second in the Youth Tour of Assen yesterday.
