Crescent fire

by isleofman.com 8th August 2006
Firefighters spent an hour and a half early this morning tackling a blaze in the Crescent Arcade in Douglas.

Fire broke out in the building – which is due to be demolished – shortly after 1am. The alarm was raised by a member of the public.

Two pumps from Douglas fire station searched the premises and put the fire out, allowing the owners to secure the building.

An investigation is underway as it’s thought the fire could have been started deliberately.
