Energy savings

by isleofman.com 8th August 2006
There could be a silver lining amidst the energy price hikes.

That’s the belief of Phil Corlett from Friends of the Earth.

Last week, the Manx Electricity Authority announced a 14.5% increase from September and Manx Gas warned rises are likely this winter, in the face of spiralling gas and oil prices globally.

However, Mr Corlett says that factor could force the public to think more about how to cut back and he welcomes the government’s campaign to cut carbon emissions.
