Eurocars "missed potentially serious faults"

The Office of Fair Trading says it will step up random inspections of garages after one was prosecuted for charging a customer for work that wasn’t carried out.

Eurocars in Peel Road, Douglas, said it had made a number of checks – but the OFT proved the firm had missed potentially serious faults.

The company was fined ?1000 and ordered to pay ?1750 costs by High Bailiff Michael Moyle.
