Staff of Isle of Man Railways have been paying tribute to railway assistant engineer Colin Goldsmith.
Mr Goldsmith (pictured) spent his entire working life on the Island’s railways, initially joining in 1952 as an apprentice electrician with the Manx Electric Railway.
In 2005, he was promoted to assistant engineer, working on both the steam and electric networks.
His funeral was held in Douglas yesterday, and director of public transport Mike Ball said Mr Goldsmith was held in very high regard working on the railway he loved.
