Donald Gelling rules out third term as Chief

There WILL be a new Chief Minister in November.

So far, the current Chief Minister Donald Gelling has refused to discount the possibility that he would run for the job again after the General Election - as a member of the Legislative Council there is nothing precluding him staying on in the position.

But in an interview for Manx Radio's Midday Mandate programme today, he has finally confirmed that he intends to step aside in favour of a younger man.
