Transport Minister Phil Braidwood has explained the delay in letting the Island’s population know about yesterday’s anti-terror operations.
He says he couldn’t make any statement until UK authorities allowed him to do so.
Answering criticisms that he hadn’t spoken to reassure the public until 36 hours after the alert, Mr Braidwood said no comment could have been made earlier.
And he said as soon as information could be released, the airport sent out a press release.
