Island in top 5 tourist attractions list

by isleofman.com 14th August 2006
The Isle of Man has been voted one of the top five tourist attractions for weekend breaks in Britain.

The poll by loyalty card company Nectar aims to encourage people to explore places on their doorstep.

More than 500 card holders were asked to name their favourite places in their area.

The Island made it into the top five with UK tourist attractions such as Tatton Park and Beeston Castle in Cheshire, Lancashire's Forest of Bowland, and Poole’s Cavern in the Peak District.
