by isleofman.com 14th August 2006
Changes in training new police officers, forced upon the Island, are being described as "an exciting for the Isle of Man".

The UK Home Office has closed regional training centres which means that the Bruche establishment, near Warrington is no longer available.

Instead, new recruits will initially undergo an assessment process in October and November with successful students starting work in January next year.
Its to replace retiring officers.

Staff Development Officer Inspector Mike Ward says it will enable the Manx to training needs, not only for Manx law but to the needs of the Island Community and environment.
