The son of a former Manx chief constable who was murdered whilst restraining a terror suspect in Manchester will be honoured with a memorial plaque.
Detective Constable Stephen Oake (pictured) – the son of Robin Oake - was stabbed to death by Kamel Bourgass during a police raid on a flat in January 2003.
Jason Roberts reports:

Bourgass slashed and stabbed DC Oake with a kitchen knife, but the officer held onto him until he was restrained by colleagues.
His killer was later jailed for life and convicted of taking part in a poison plot, but the Home Office denied Mr Oake a posthumous George Cross.
A Police Memorial Trust monument will be unveiled next month, at the flat.
The plaque will read, simply, 'Here fell DC Stephen Oake' and the date.
