Manx training for Manx police

Manx police officers are to be home-reared.

Until now, new recruits have done their initial 15 week training off-Island.

But earlier this year the United Kingdom Home Office announced the closure of regional training centres, with students being taught by individual forces.

Staff Development Officer, Inspector Mike Ward, says it's a great opportunity to tailor training for Manx law and the needs of the local community and environment:
