Axa stafff help Hospice

by isleofman.com 15th August 2006
AXA Isle of Man has presented St Bridget’s Hospice with a donation for ?2,000, raised by its staff members during thier " Go Yellow Day" earlier this summer.

The staff social committee arranged lighthearted activities to involve all the organisation’s employees, including a jail and break. This saw staff pledging money on which senior manager they would like to see dressed up in a chicken suit and arrested by the local constabulary, where he had to raise a minimum of ?500 bail money.

Every Friday the AXA Isle of Man employees have a casual clothes day for the fee of ?1, which goes into the charity kitty. As the Go Yellow Day fell on a Friday, the day’s collection was added straight to the grand total. Employees were asked to stick with the day’s theme and wear an item of yellow clothing or face a ?2 fine, with would also be added to the Hospice funds.
