Transport Minister Phil Braidwood says bringing in an external consultant to solve noise problems at the White Hoe sewage treatment works won’t cost extra money.
Speaking yesterday, Mr Braidwood said having a consultant working with the DoT’s experts was already part of the budget for the work.
He says it’s difficult to say when the problems will be sorted out but he’s eager to help nearby residents as quickly as possible.
Mr Braidwood says the Department of Local Government and the Environment are also helping.
