Sky TV to be removed from Island pubs

by isleofman.com 16th August 2006
Sports fans are in for a disappointment after it was decided to remove Sky TV from some Island pubs.

Heron and Brearley says the cost of Sky Sports - which stands at more than ?5,000 per pub, per year - is no longer 'commercially viable'.

Although it will continue to pay for Sky TV to be shown in up to ten of its pubs, the brewery will cancel the remainder of its contracts from the end of this month.

A spokesman for Heron and Brearley said the situation will be kept under constant review.
