FSC issues company warning

by isleofman.com 17th August 2006

The Financial Supervision Commission has issued an alert on an
" entity" carrying the name New World Financial Europe SL.

The FSC has concerns that local residents could potentially receive unsolicited calls from it and they " are not aware of the above entity having, or holding out as having, any presence on the Isle of Man".

Its the subject of an Alert issued by the Netherlands Financial Markets Authority (“FMA”). The Alert advises that the above entity, which has been offering securities services to residents of the Netherlands, is not authorised to do so under the relevant Netherlands legislation. The full text of the FMA Alert may be read on the following link: http://www.afm.nl/corporate/default.ashx?documentid=7119

Under the circumstances, the Commission would strongly urge Isle of Man residents considering dealing with the above entity to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice. Isle of Man residents considering dealing with the above entity should be absolutely clear that it is not regulated in the Isle of Man to advise on investments or to arrange deals in such investments.
