by isleofman.com 17th August 2006
Sentence on a 23 year old man has been adjourned by the High Bailiff for a social report.

Paul Kirk McCarthy of Ashfield Avenue, Union Mills, admitted threatening and unlawful violence towards David Reece.

The incident occurred at 1.40am on May 21st on Queen's Promenade.

Rosemary Burnett, prosecuting, said police on mobile patrol were alerted to Paramount City where they spoke to David Reece who had minor cuts. As a result of what they were told CCTV was viewed which showed Reece being chased by the defendant, who then punched him.

His advocate Dawn Jones said there was a lot of background to the matter, and the court would benefit from a report.

Mr Moyle has bailed the defendant until September 12th
