An investigation is continuing into an armed robbery in Douglas.
The incident took place shortly before 9pm last night at the Magic Wok Chinese takeaway on Waverley Terrace, when a man wearing a balaclava pointed what appeared to be a black handgun at the woman working behind the counter and demanded cash.
He was given money from the till before leaving the area on foot.
Police say the women who worked in the shop were "terrified " by the incident
The man is described as white, around 5 foot eight in height of slim build and around 19-20 years old.
He had no discernible accent and was wearing a dark beige jacket which is thought to be a 'Berghaus' style a dark blue shirt with a striped pattern and black jeans.
He was wearing a balaclava with the eyes and mouth cut out.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area of Waverley Terrace, York Road or Stanley Terrace around the time of the incident who may have any information to get in contact with the CID at police headquarters on 631 212
