DHSS to reveal childcare findings

by isleofman.com 19th August 2006
The DHSS will today (Friday) address the media over the findings of an investigation into a government-contracted childcare provider.

The Bordesley Institute has been looking at the work of Manx Family Services since concerns about the organisation were raised during the ?2 million inquiry into the care of young people.

The results of a major independent review and inspection of Noble's Hospital will also be revealed.

The department invited the Healthcare Commission to lead an inspection of quality and standards of patient care.

The commission, which assesses NHS and independent healthcare across the British Isles, looked into all aspects of hospital life, including admissions, service planning and the management of medicine and pharmacy services.

They also requested views from the public and healthcare staff.
