Hands retains title.

Sean Hands retained his British Centurion 100 mile race walking title at the NSC at the weekend.

He finished in a time of 19 hours 16 minutes 03 seconds, despite struggling with a back problem.

Visiting walker Sandra Brown came second in 19 hours 28 minutes 38 seconds.

She spoke to Tim Glover after the race:

Sue Biggart became the first new centurion when she crossed the line in third position, finishing in 20 hours 8 minutes 10 seconds.

There were 21 Manx centurions in total.

The 20 mile Starlight Stroll was won by John Constandinou in 3 hours 20 minutes 02 seconds, from Robbie Lambie and Marie Jackson.
