Peel house fire

by isleofman.com 21st August 2006
A family had to evacuate their home after a fire in Peel this morning.

Fire services were called out at around 1.13am to a property in Tynwald Drive and had to treat the members of the household for the effects of smoke inhalation.

There was a severe fire in an upstairs bedroom, and smoke had travelled into properties on either side of the house. These properties were also evacuated before the fire was brought under control by appliances from Peel and Douglas.

The occupants of the affected house were taken to Nobles hospital by ambulance, and neighbours were allowed back into their homes before fire officers left the scene
