Top e gaming firm gives the Isle of Man the big "E"

by isleofman.com 23rd August 2006
After being listed in the top three to acquire the domicile of Taj systems, the Isle of Man has lost out to Malta.

Manx Radio Business reported a week ago that the Board of Directors of Taj Systems, Inc. announced plans to move the company to Europe assessing the top three sites; Gibraltar, Malta, and Isle of Man.

Now and after what's termed " a thorough analysis of these gaming friendly jurisdictions" the Board has agreed to re-domicile Taj Systems in Malta.

Taj Systems President Carl Gessner describes Malta as a beautiful island in the Mediterranean with a rich history, stable economy, and strong communications infrastructure. Plus having a vibrant gaming industry and quality standard of living, he says "our choice was very easy."

That last phrase will certainly disturb the e-gaming authorities on the Isle of Man who will be anxious now to find out why that choice was made so easy.
