UK contract is grist to Laxey Glen Mills' mill.

by isleofman.com 23rd August 2006
Laxey Glen Mills has won its first ever regular contract to supply a firm "across the water". Bread and Co of Banbury in Oxfordshire has cited, amongst other things, the ability to trace the original wheat and the high quality of growth on the Island for its decision to buy flour milled in Laxey as their main source of supply. Another aspect in Laxey's favour, the purity of the flour and the lack of additives. Chairman at Laxey Mills, Colin Brown, says it will bridge the gap caused when TESCO decided to close its bakery and use pre baked products.
