Police have named the French driver of a BMW who remains critically ill in Noble’s hospital after an accident on Monday afternoon.

Yves Bardin, 41, was involved in the accident with a Renault Megane in King Edward Road, Onchan at 12.35pm.

The other driver, 46 year old Robert Hoare from Baldrine, was released from hospital after treatment.

Officers say they’d still like to hear from any witnesses, particularly a man and woman who were walking their dog in the area at the time.

If you have any information on the incident, you can get in touch with police on 631212.
