Police have named the motorcyclist involved in a fatal accident on Monday morning.
He is Edward Arthur Johnson, who 58 and from Heath Mount in Leeds.
He collided with a car on the main Douglas to Peel road at the junction with Glen Vine Road.
The coroner of inquests has been informed.
