Jackson transferred to Royal Liverpool

Manx Grand Prix lap record holder Alan Jackson has been flown to the Royal Liverpool Hospital for further treatment to his injuries.

The Preston rider crashed at the Black Dub during Tuesday evening's practice session resulting in two broken ankles and a knee injury.

There was one spill during last night's action around the Mountain Course - Tony Ainley from Sherwood crashed at the Waterworks and sustained a shoulder injury.

He was helicoptered to Noble's Hospital for treatment. Previous casualties still detained are all described as "comfortable".
