Loaghtan gets Euro recognition

The loaghtan sheep, once in danger of extinction but now flourishing in the Island , has been given a European designation of excellence.
It means it will be easier to market across the continent.
At the same time there's a call for a Manx statutory certificate of excellence.

George Steriopulos of Manx Loaghtan says it took six months for confirmation of the "PDO" mark


At the same time, agricultural correspondent John Kennaugh says the Manx mark should be established:
