Ken Kinrade promoted

A well-known public official in the Isle of Man has been promoted to the top job at the Department of Local Government and the Environment.

Ken Kinrade - currently Chief Officer at the the Office of Fair Trading - will take up the post as Chief Executive of DOLGE in November.

Mr Kirade joined the Civil Service in 1971 as a trainee Weights and Measures inspector. He rose through the ranks, becoming Chief Inspector of Trading Standards in 1987.

Mr Kinrade says he's excited by the challenges that lie ahead in providing high quality services vital to the economic, environmental and social well bring of the Island.
