Armed robbery arrest

Police investigating an armed hold up at a convenience store in Braddan have arrested a 17 year old man on suspicion of robbery.

He is currently being questioned at Police Headquarters in Douglas

No further details have been released at the moment, but it is hoped further details may be available later today

The incident took place at Farmhill stores at around 3.30pm on Monday afternoon when a man wearing a black hat and stocking mask entered the store brandishing a small knife.

He got away with several hundred pounds in cash.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident.

Anyone who may have seen something or thinks they may be able to help is asked to ring police headquarters on 631 212.
