Local man killed

A local man has been killed in an accident which delayed the start of today's Manx Grand Prix.

It followed a collision close to the Hawthorne Pub (pictured) which led to a race delay of almost three hours.

Details won't be released until his relatives have been informed.

The crash happened on open roads at 9.20am.

The rider and pillion passenger on the other bike involved in the accident have been taken to Noble's Hospital for treatment.

Their injuries are not life threatening.
