A party described as potentially the new force in Manx politics will hold a public meeting on Monday evening.
The Liberal Vannin Party, formed last month by Onchan MHK Peter Karran (pictured), plans to put forward a number of candidates for this year’s General Election, including the already declared Rushen challenger Tony Wright.
The party has set up three branches to bring politics to the people in all Douglas constituencies, as well as Peel, Garff, Glenfaba, Middle and Onchan.
A vocal critic of government, Mr Karran says it wants to protect future Island generations and to bring true democracy, accountability, and audit into the Manx government.
The public meeting on Monday takes place at the Liverpool Arms at 8pm.
